What is WorldStoke?
WorldStoke is an international symposium of woodfiring, artist demonstrations, and discussions to address social equities in ceramic art.  It is an interactive event for clay artists and enthusiasts to enjoy and lead in the communication and social actions concerning ceramic art today.


Meet your host Penryn Workshop:
Located in Placer County on several acres is Penryn Workshop, home to an art gallery, indoor and outdoor ceramic studios, and multiple kilns from the Noborigama Woodfiring kiln, nicknamed "Big Mama," to salt, raku, and propane fueled fiber kilns.
Penryn Workshop has a goal of creating 25 student scholarships, providing local and international students with an educational opportunity to attend WorldStoke 2022.

Penryn Workshop has a mission to utilize ceramics for student scholarships and community education.
Penryn Workshop is located in northern California's Placer County, which includes parts of Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe.  This area benefits from its alluvial location with abundant clay resources.  Authentic California communities like Auburn, Rocklin, Penryn, and Nevada City await your visit.
